Purpose of FuneralBranch
FuneralBranch is a secure business-to-business web application forfuneral directors. Its purpose is to help funeral homes manage theirdigital presence from one platform.
FuneralBranch provides website and content-management tools, onlineobituary publishing, payment functionality, Google review monitoring,Google Business Profile reporting and Google Search Console reporting.
Purpose of the Google integration
An authorised user of a FuneralBranch customer account may choose toconnect a Google Account.
FuneralBranch uses Google OAuth to access information only from theGoogle Business Profile accounts, locations and Google Search Consoleproperties that the user is authorised to manage.
This access is required so that FuneralBranch can display the connectedfuneral home's Google reviews, Business Profile performance and websitesearch performance within its FuneralBranch account.
Google information FuneralBranch may access
Depending on the features enabled and the permissions granted,FuneralBranch may access:
- Basic Google account information needed to identify and connect the authorised account, including the account identifier, name, email address and profile image.
- Google Business Profile accounts and locations, business and location information, reviews, ratings, publicly displayed reviewer names and profile images, performance information and search-keyword impression information.
- Authorised Google Search Console properties and search-performance information, including search queries, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, country, device and search appearance information.
How FuneralBranch uses Google information
FuneralBranch uses the authorised Google information to:
- Connect the selected Google account to FuneralBranch.
- Display information in the customer's FuneralBranch dashboard.
- Notify the customer about new Google reviews.
- Display Google review widgets.• Monitor Google Business Profile performance.
- Monitor website search performance.
- Prepare customer reports.
- Provide SEO advice when requested by the funeral director.
Reviews, ratings and publicly displayed reviewer information may beshown in review widgets on websites that FuneralBranch provides forfuneral directors.
What the integration does not do
The current integration does not use Google authorisation to publishreview replies, edit Google Business Profile information, create Googleposts, or upload photographs or other media.
FuneralBranch does not sell, rent or use Google information foradvertising, unrelated lead generation, industry benchmarking or thetraining of artificial-intelligence models.
User choice and disconnection
Connecting a Google Account is optional.
A customer can disconnect Google without closing its FuneralBranchaccount. When Google is disconnected, FuneralBranch revokes and deletesthe relevant OAuth token and removes stored Google information from itslive systems.
Residual copies may remain temporarily in routine backups for no morethan 30 days.
